Q1 Do I need an Architect or just a builder?.

Your home should be a unique reflection of you. Time and money spent on professional architectural design make the difference between an average ‘property developer’ type home and a beautiful piece of architecture. An Architect designed home will be tailored so that it is right for you and that you’ll love living in it.

Going straight to a builder means that you miss out on the most important design stage. Without a finessed design, it is impossible to accurately forecast how much you will spend or exactly what your are going to end up with. Systematically working through detailed construction drawings will highlight clashes and potential problems long before the first sledgehammer is wielded, changes onsite are costly, in the words of one of the great modernist architects, Frank Lloyd Wright

“You can use an eraser on the drafting table or a sledge hammer on the construction site.”
